The biggest, reddest dog of all is back for brand new adventures on Birdwell Island in the new Clifford the Big Red Dog premiering on Amazon and PBS in December.

The original series, which ran from 2000-2003 on PBS, is returning with a new look starting Dec. 6. The show is once again inspired by the popular Scholastic book series written and illustrated by Norman Bridwell. The reboot will feature some major changes however.

In this version Clifford’s best human friend, Emily Elizabeth is “a stronger and more independent female character to inspire today’s girls” and for the first time ever, Clifford and Emily Elizabeth will be able to speak to each other. Each episode will also feature a new original song designed to introduce kids to all different types of musical genres and styles.

Clifford the Big Red Dog will be available both on Amazon Prime Video and PBS KIDS. It will premiere first on Dec. 6 on Amazon and then on Dec. 7 on PBS.
